Ice Cream Emergency Westchester is a small family-owned business run by Carol and Ed Lachterman, life-long Westchester County Residents. We are assisted by our daughter, Keri, who handles our social media along with our dog Bentley, a/k/a “Scoop Dog”, who will occasionally interview us for extra treats. Our bus is named Olivia after our other dog that passed away in early 2022. We started responding to Ice Cream Emergencies in June of 2022 and absolutely love it!
With many years in the Hospitality industry, Ed alone has 40+ years, our family understands the importance of your event and with Ice Cream Emergency, we offer a great experience that will impress your friends, family, clients, or employees! We bring the fun and the delicious Ice Cream right to you! We look forward to helping you make memories!

Highly recommend Ice Cream Emergency Westchester NY. They were an absolute pleasure to book (very accommodating to my last minute request!). Ed very throughly explained how everything works, what you get (for great prices!!). And when they showed up, it was an instant party hit. Ed and his lovely wife are a great team. They were warm and funny and served up delicious quality ice cream. Book with them and impress your guests!
The BEST! We had Ice Cream Emergency at a school dance and everyone said it was the best part of the night! Ed and Carol were so wonderful to work with. We asked for nut free, and even though they were coming straight from another event an hour away, they made sure they had enough time to stop and sterilize the truck before committing to our event. We could not have asked for more. Everyone loved it – kids and parents alike. The whole experience was amazing – and the ice cream sundaes were superb!!
Ed and Carol helped make our son’s wedding a success! They are very easy to work with and provide a great selection of ice cream flavors. Our guests enjoyed tasty treats as a perfect end to a wonderful celebration. Thanks again!
